full-stack engineer, backend and platform by choice

I'm Juho, a full-stack developer based in Kuopio, Finland. My interests lean towards backend systems and the infrastructure around them, and I enjoy working across an application to connect the pieces.

Troubleshooting is the part I enjoy most: following a stack trace, a slow query or a load-test result to understand why the system behaves that way. Concurrency, transactions and failure modes are especially interesting to me.

What I'm looking for

I'm open to backend, platform/DevOps and full-stack roles, as well as API development, integrations and related engineering work.

I'm based in Kuopio and open to remote or hybrid work. I'm also willing to relocate to most locations for the right opportunity.

Tools in practice

The projects here combine coursework and personal work. A few examples of where I've used the tools:

Backend and APIs: Go and PostgreSQL for APIs, transactions and concurrent requests.
Automation and platform: Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes, Helm and ArgoCD across the infrastructure lab.
Frontend and interaction: React and TypeScript for a state-driven game with procedural visuals and drag-and-drop workers.
Observability and measurement: Prometheus, Grafana and load testing to investigate behaviour and question the numbers.

Studies

I completed Full-Stack Mastery at kood/Sisu, 25 March 2024 to 17 May 2026. The modules covered Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, DevOps and advanced full-stack development. My portfolio includes both solo and group projects from these studies.
